Access 2003 why do sunken and raised formats look flat?

I have just upgraded to Access 2003 and now all my text boxes look flat,
regardless of the formating I choose, i.e., sunken, raised. The command
buttons are also flat. Is this normal?

No, it is not normal by any means. If this happens with all your databases, I
suggest you make sure you have installed all the service releases. If you
already have, you should re-install Access.

If it only happens with one database, it might be corrupt.

Yes, this is normal, but you can change it if you want. Select 'Options'
from the 'Tools' menu, select the 'Forms/Reports' tab, and un-check the
option 'Use Windows Themed Controls on Forms'.
