Access 2007 Add-in problem

I had the developer extensions working fine, then one day the developer
button disappeared. I ended up re-installing Access, removing and
re-installin the developer extensions, but when I go to the Add-in section
the developer extension is missing, I believe it is Accessde.dll. When I
attempt to add it, (COM Add-in) it doesn't do anything. It is also not
listed on the main Add-in page. I have re-downloaded the developer
extensions and access runtime, but I still can't get the developer button in
the menu to appear.

MS has a KB article #937998 that SEEMS to address the question, but it
doesn't say what to do if it doesn't even show up.

Any ideas, anyone? anyone?

A little too complicated to explain here, but I was able to resolve the
issue with a MS tech guy by
changing some registry settings. This problem occurred because I had Access
2003 installed on same PC,
and switching back and forth screwed something up so the install of the
developer extensions were not being
written to the registry. I needed to copy a valid key in the
HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Office\Access\Addins
referring to the Access DB Engine Conflict Resolver. The tech guy promised
me that they
will amend KB article #937998 to include this resolution.

I wish you would post the full fix here. I have had exactly the same
problem: uniinstalled all Access 2003 and reinstalled all Access 2007
and still the developer extensions don't work.

Microsoft still haven't updated KB937998 and I'm stuck

I'm sure there are other Access developers out there tearing their
hair out!

Thanks!
