Access 2007 and Sharepoint Surveys

We have several ongoing Sharepoint surveys whereby we collect survey data
throughout the month. We use a Access 2003 database to generate monthly
survey result reports from this data. While Access 2007 provides means for
accessing Sharepoint Lists, it does not allow for accessing Sharepoint
Surveys.

Is this a design flaw or will there be a fix for this issue in the near
future? Better yet, is there a work around so I can access Sharepoint
Surveys (It doesn't matter Sharepoint 2003 or 2007) data from Access 2007?
