Access 2007 cannot import bitmap

I'm having a problem with Access 2007 importing bitmap images into a bound
OLE object. When I import the image, 2007 doesn't recognize the bitmap
format and converts the object to 'package'. I know the bitmap image works
because if I import it in Access 2003 it works.

Does anyone know why my 2007 isn't working with bitmap images?
