Access 2007 com add-in for developer extensions

the extension is missing from the list on the Add-in page, and when I select
com add-in, it won't add the dll. I have re-installed access and removed and
re-installed the Developer Extensions but it still does not show up.

I faced the same problem and I tried following the method in "Microsoft
Office Access 2007 Developer Edition FAQ" by:

Click Office Button--Access Options--Add-ins--Manage: COM
Add-ins--Go...--Check Microsoft Office Access Developer Extensions COM Add-in
(C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\ADDINS\AccessDE.DLL) and clik OK.

The Add-in file does not appear in the Access Options after the above steps.

Thus, my problem is still not solved.

Kindly advise
