Access 2007 database multiple files splitting

How can I do to split accdb files in more than only 2 (front-end and
back-end) files?

I read on this page:

that "A front-end database file can point to thousands of back-end
database files, each of which could be as large as 2GB"

so I read also this:

and I cannot see any way to split in more than 2 files....

Any help appreciated.

There is nothing built-in, but you can export one table to backend A
and another to backend B. Then delete the two tables from your
frontend, and link to the two tables.

What are you really trying to accomplish?
