Access 2007 on Vista and Linked Tables

I am unable to open linked tables in Access 2007 on a Vista Business
workstation. The tables are on a SQL Server 2005 database that is hosted on a
server on the Internet. The message I get is a very generic ODBC error -
"ODBC --call faild. [Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server] Incorrect
syntax near the keyword 'View'. (#156)." 'View' is the first part of my table
name. The ODBC connection test passes and I am able to link the table with no
problems. Opening the same linked tables works fine on an XP workstation with
Office 2003 on my network.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue?

I have played with the SQL tables and have determined that the issue is
spaces and other characters in the names of the tables and the columns. When
I remove the spaces or the characters, such as % or ?, the table loads fine.
Since this same SQL table worked fine linked to Access 2003, I wonder if this
is a feature, that Access 2007 will force you to use good known procedures
for you SQL Server linked tables.

Does anyone know if this is the case or not, or if there is a switch I can
throw to make access more like previous versions?

Thanks.
