Access 2007 on Windows 2000

Our application uses an Access database (the front end is written in VB6). We
are considering moving to Access 2007 to take advantage of its encryption
capabilities. Our clients currently run our app on a range of Windows
platforms, all the way back to Windows 98. While I'm not too concerned about
the few who are still running Windows 98, ME, and NT, the number of those
still running 2000 may be significant enough to worry about. I noticed that
the Access Runtime cannot be installed on Windows 2000. Does anyone know if
the database will run at all on 2000, and if so, what must be
installed/configured to make it happen?

Rick,

As far as I know you can't install Access 2007 on anything prior to Windows
XP, so my concern would be with the earlier versions also. I also am not
sure I understand your statement... If it is only the backend that is an
Access database then is it only the backend your are thinking of upgrading?
Or are you moving the entire application/database to Access 2007?
