I have added the below add in and restarted access and outlook, but
the email collection error message i receive is :: microsoft outlook
could not be started. make sure that outlook is installed and properly
set up on your computer
How do i get this to work with user forms by outlook inserting data
into access??

You do need an Add-in : Microsoft Outlook Add in for Data Collection
and
Publishing.
Tools>Trust Centre>Add ins to install.
If it's not on the lst, you look for it in .......Programme files
\microsoft
office\office12\addins\accolk.dll
My first attempts to install this add in failed. Removing and re-
installing
Outlook resolved whatever the ossue was.
