Access 2007 Runtime on Vista

Used the package wizard to make the Runtime install that works great on WinXP
SP2.

On Vista, it opens... then instantly crashes. I have tried to do what it
says in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931407/en-us, which talks about the
Trust Center or Digital Cert. The client isn't going to buy the cert, so I
want to focus on the Trust Center.

How do I set the Trusted folder when the Vista computer doesn't have any
other Microsoft Office components except for the installed runtime? (This
will be a distributed app so the end user may not have any software or brains
to set the Trusted folder, so I'll have to do it all before the app starts.)

Thanks,

Kewl, thanks!

Yes, I made a move as I'm trying to get more SharePoint experience. Thus,
you may see me again at the MVP summit, just wearing a different sash. :D

Next one's March 1-4, 2009, so you've got a couple of chances between now
and then <g>

Nice to see you posting here I didn't realize that was you before as
I hardly ever look at the name or sig.

I kinda doubt that the Trust Center is your problem when it crashes
immediately. I'd suggest trying another real small MDB/MDE and see
if it crashes the runtime too.

Some kind of other executable I'd suggest. For example a little itty
bitty VB6 program. Trouble is you have to sign those too.
