Access 2007 SP2 upsizing wizard is still broken.

I am trying to upsize to SQL Server 2008.
With sp1 I got the error message 'I need to use SQL-Server 6.5 and up."
With sp2 I get the error message "The Upsizing Wizard does not work with the
version of Microsoft SQL Server to which you Access project is connected.bla
bla bla"
Do I need to wait for the next version of Access?

You can export files from a2007 to sql server 2008.

I do suggest you use the older ODBC driver, and not the newer native 10.0
driver for sql 2008.

Using the access export options does work, but you have to create the
database on the server side first and "after" you export, you then have to
link the table.....

As mentioned, using the sql server tools is likely just as easy here.....
Do I need to wait for the next version of Access?

I will check into this. (this may be the case).

When using access 2000, I don't belive the upsize tools worked with sql
2005 for example.....

The download page says Sql Server 2005. Have you tried it on SQL server 2008?

Scroll down a little further. The page I gave you the link to has 3 tools
listed. 2 lines below the link to the 2005 tool is the link to the 2008 tool.
I haven't tried the 2008 tool yet but the 2005 tool works pretty well.
