Access 2K Crashes When typing Code

I have a problem with Access 2K. For the past few days, when programming a
database app, I can work on it all day, and then suddenly, while just typing
a line of simple code, I get the "Sorry for the Inconvenience...Do you want
to send a report to Microsoft?" thing. From that point on, the database is
corrupted. Nothing seems to help (especially Microsoft, who never says what
is wrong). I have tried compacting and repairing, copying the objects to a
new database, etc. I have completely uninstalled Office 2000 and reinstalled
it (and Developer's Edition). I have done the Windows XP updates and all of
the pertinent Office 2000 updates on the MS webpage. No dice.

I have no idea what is causing these databases to go south. I use Norton
Anti-virus constantly, the definitions are up to date, and real time
protection is turned on. There are NO viruses on my PC. In addition, I have
no spyware or anything else. I keep after this stuff religiously, and it is
not there.

But it just corrupts the databases. Any ideas?
Thanks.
