Access 2K Update to SP3

I need to update a copy of the original Office 2K ACCESS application to SP3
I have attempted to do this starting with SP1 but get error stating that it
is not the version this update was expecting.

Customers application was written in Access 2k with sp3 and I need to revise
some of the code.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just to make sure, click on Help, About and see what version it is on now.

Thanks for your reply
This is showing Access 2000 (9.0.2720)

Someone that I was trying to buy the software from was telling me that maybe
I am wrong about SP1 in that there might be something about SR-1a?

Do you think I am trying to update with the wrong release?

Again thanks for your interest in my problem.

Jerry,
Just tried to apply SR-1 and get this error
Update did not complete sucessfully
For assistance contact Microsoft Tech Support
( i dowdt there is support availabe for this outdated product)
See the log file Office 2000 SR-1 setup(003).txt (I think I have tried to
run this 3 times

I searched my drive for any *.txt files but did not find this

I just formated the hard drive, installed WinxpPro and did all the updates
and then installed Office 2K, Access, Outlook, & Word

Not even antivirus on this unit yet.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Again thanks for any direction you can send me on this one.

If you are still having trouble with all of that, I'd wonder about the disk
that you are installing it from. Also A2K was a little buggy. You might be
better off upgrading to something like 2003, or , gulp, 2007. They both can
handle the A2K file format.

Thanks for your suggestion.
Problem is the customer has Access 2003 on their terminal server and I have
to change some things in their existing application. What ever I put back on
needs to run under the edition they have on their server.

Thanks
