Is there any way to use ACCESS 97 with Windows XP?? When
I try to run it I get the following message:

"Microsoft Access cannot start because there is no license
for it on this machine"

Thanks for any info.

I also get this message and am trying to open Access 97,
which I had on my old computer, now replaced with a new
Dell with Windows XP. I'll be very interested in a reply
to your question. Really don't want to pay $.99/minute
or $35 for the answer.

Rosie,

I found the answer and got Access to start on XP. Here
is the link to the fix:

Apparently there is a font that somehow gets in the way
of the licensing. Don't ask me how, but all they have
you do is take the font out of the way while you
reinstall Access, then put the font back in. Very weird.

Good luck!

Deanna
