Access 97 crash on Windows 2003 Server

Hello folks,

I am trying Access 97 on rather fresh Windows Server 2003 R2
(Standard
Edition, some latest updates and NET 2.0 and NET 3.0 installed).

During MS Office 97 installation first time, it said it cannot create
system.mdw, but after copying it manually from another computer, I can
launch Access.

I can open Northwind.mdb, Main Switchboard form, but pressing every
buttons
leads to Access crash. Actually, calling any VBA code from any form or
report leads to hanging up Access.

Reinstalling MS Office goes smoothly (no more system.mdw error) but
does not
help. Applying office SR-1 and SR-2 does not help.

Has anybody succeeded in solving the same problem?
