I have a '97 database on a network that multiple users edit and add records
simultaneously. No security set up or groups etc. They all edit records
using a few different forms and we often get an error when trying to update
or add a record (on the last field entry) that tells us the database is
locked by workstation XXXXX (workstation id). If we walk around the office
and get everyone to close access, then wait about 5 - 10 minutes, it is
available again for everyone to use. Any ideas on what is causing this or
how I can put in a fix so it doesn't happen anymore?
