Access 97 forces logon

Whenever I start Access 97 the logon window appears even if I don't specify a
workgroup file in the command line of the shortcut. How could I suppress the
logon screen?

That simply means that your default workgroup has a password on the Admin
user. Either remove that password or join another workgroup.

Join a workgroup file that does not include a password. Use the Workgroup
Administrator to make your default workgroup one without a password.
