Access 97 under Windows XP

I am attempting to install Access 97 under XP. I keep
getting the error message that the install didn't work
and that I should run workgroup manager. I attempt that
it but it announces that it cannot write to the
system.mdw file. When I attempt to run access 97, it
then announces that there "is no license for this
application" and refuses to start.

Is there a solution to this?

Thanks. I've tried that but I'm now getting an error
message upon installation that states:

"Access failed to install properly. Unable to create
workgroup database"

which is followed up with

"Setup wasn't able to create system.mdw file. After
setup is completed, reboot your computer and run the
workgroup administrator program before you run this
program."

And after a reboot and I attempt to run this program, it
asks me for the workgroup ID, which none of my other PCs
have, so I leave it blank but it still cannot create the
system.mdw file for some reason.

I tried copying the system.mdw off another PC and access
still fails to run, again with the error "no license
exists for this application".

I then tried the rename the font trick and reinstalled.
It failed to make any difference.

Grrr.

Is this XP Home or XP Professional? If XP Professional, are you running as
the administrator when you're doing the installation?
