Access 97 will Not Run: System arrived with Office 2003

Our PC guys removed the Office 2003 suite. Then installed Office 97 due to
organizational Access 97 needs.

Now, when Access 97 is launched, the following error occurs:

"This program must be installed to run. Please run setup from the location
where you originally installed the application".

All other Office 97 products are OK.

I hjave seen similar problems in the past stating license problems, dll
conflicts, etc. and have at those time s been able to find articles that
addressed them. This one I am at a lost for as are the PC guys.

Any suggestions would help.

Hi.

One receives this message from a "network install" when the installation on
that network drive doesn't include the Access application, or instead has an
"Install on first use" indicated for key components of Access.

Tell the Help Desk guys: "Do over," and next time, include Access 97 -- all
of it.
