Access always shows a configuration dialog at startup

I recenetly had to reinstall office 2000 on my w2k Pro desktop. Now
when I start Access I always see a dialog box that says "Please wait
while Windows configures Office 2000 Professional", with a progress
bar. After this access runs normally. Can anyone give me an idea what
is going on here? The other office programs do not do this. I have
attempted to run the "repair" utility to effect.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
