Access buttons / Access Buttons settings

I'm trying to play a video from PP. I have got to the help suggestion for
setting up action buttons. Bu when I go to that menu item, the action button
settings is grayed out and the Action button items are grayed out.

To insert movie into PowerPoint, click Insert > Movie and Sounds > Movie from
File.
Select the movie you want to insert and click OK.

If you want to use action button instead,
right click on the action button, select action settings.
Click on "Hyperlink to:", which is the second 'dot'.
Click on the dropdown and select Other File.
Look for the movie you want to insert and OK your way out.
