I have an Access 2000 db that upon launch, Access opens, and then instantly
closes. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, Tsuki.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

To prevent the startup code and macros from running, press the <SHIFT> key,
then open the database while continuing to hold the <SHIFT> key, until the
database is completely open. If it opens by using this method, then you can
investigate what is failing on startup.

Are there any error messages?

HTH.

Hello 69 Camaro,

There were no specific error messages.
Your suggestion helped me at least see that there are some forms that have
been corrupted. I created another databse and have imported the tables. I am
not sure what would happen to cause the forms to become currupted. Do you
know?

Further, I am thinking that there may be some good standard scheduled
administrative tasks that might be done. The only thing that comes to mind is
the compact and repair process. Are you aware of any other good practices? Or
references to such practices with MS Access?

Thank you for your time,
Tsuki
