Within Project Web Access, how can a Team Member access
documents from a project which he doesn't have assigned
tasks in?
Thanks,
Chuck

There are two ways to accomplish this. One way would be to assign the
resource to a task in the project with only a minimal amount of work. The
other way would involve these steps:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Click the Manage Windows SharePoint Services link
4. Click the Manage Sharepoint sites link in the sidepane
5. Select the project in question and then click the Go to Site
Administration button
6. On the Site Administration page, click Manage Users in the
Administration section
7. Click the Add Users button and add the user manually (be sure to select
the appropriate Site Group(s) for the user)

Hope these ideas help.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale for replying. I've tried your suggestions,
but when the user opens the 'View and Upload Documents'
page in PWA and tries to access the document libraries, a
dialog pops up requesting a valid login and password. If
I provide their username and password, they are
rejected. However, if I enter my username and password
(I'm an administrator), I can open the library or if I
assign them a task they can access the library.

I guess I can make a procedure which requires the project
managers to add all the users who will need access to
documents in a project, but I was hoping for a
simple/automatic solution.

Thanks,
Chuck Bishop

I've done that and the user can 'see' the

Users must have Windows User Account authentication in order to use the
features of SharePoint, which include Risks, Issues, and Documents. It
sounds like your user has Project Server authentication, which will prevent
him/her from accessing these features. Hope this helps.
