access does not open

Is the file association for .mdb set up on your machine
correctly? Perhaps your pc thinks that .mdb is associated
with, for example, excel and therefore doesn't know what
to do with it. To resolve highlight the filename in
explorer, right-click (or Shift and right-click) and 'open
with', then choose msaccess or browse to the access .exe

I am working with access 2002.
If I try to open my mdb file from access itself the file

open, but if I try to open it by clicking on the file name
and not opening access first it is getting stuck.

No the association is correct - when I click on the file access open but then get stuck.
