Access error

Hello,

I am having a serious problem with MS Access. For some reason when we try to
open our database, a message comes up saying "The database needs to be
repaired or isn't a database" It then asks if I'd like to repair the database
which I say Yes to. It then says I have an invalid password. However, I am
using the only password we have ever had.

We do backup the database every night, unfortunately the last back-up saved
the corrupted version. The last major thing we did to our computers was to go
wireless.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

No doubt that the database is corrupt. Wireless connections often fail
causing interruption of a database write. When this happens, you can bet
that corruption will eventually ensue. If the password is corrupt, you have
a problem. You must first find a working copy or try to crack the password.
There are cracking services and depending upon version you may even find a
free program. Here is one for earlier Access databases:

Also try to repair the database using JetComp:

In the future, avoid using a wireless network connection and make sure you
keep a string of backup files that are checked for continuity.
