Access failed to start correctly last time..... starting

We're running Access 2003 on Windows Server 2003. Front End/Back End and
using an .mde front end. Some time back in pre-history the db crashed and
thereafter this message presents at start up. No amount of enabling disabled
documents, repairing and compacting, replacing etc stops the message.
Meanwhile the db continues to open and run fine. Anyone know how to turn it
off?

Can you be specific as to "this message"?

Did you try to re-create the DB by creating a new, empty DB and impoting all
the objects from the old one.

The message is "Access failed to start correctly last time. Starting Access
in safe mode will help you correct or isolate a startup prolem in order to
successfully start the program. Some functionality may be disabled in thi
smode. Do you want to start Access in safe mode? YN

The message orinated following a problem with the front end, an .mde file. I
replaced that .mde file with an entirely new one created form the original
..mdb file. We have been using the database (without going in to safe mode)
for probabably 4-5 months now, without any problems. The message, however,
continuess to re-appear.
