access form combo box with all tables

I wish to design an access form which has 2 combo boxes. One will relate to
horse riders ( with contact details, membership details etc) and one to
horses (with horse registration details, owner details, owner contacts etc).
This will be used as an entry form for particular events. So the form will
not have any data already saved. Each will be a new record, which will be
discarded after the event, as classes entered, horses ridden, type of
competition, change for each event and each club.
I already have the tables etc and a form, but when I use the combo box it
does not bring in the data for the other fields. I only get on field of data.
I am having making the auto lookup data work. Is there a solution for a
beginer ? ( I have a membership database and a scoring data base already, but
they were designed by someone else). this data base must be seperate, even
though I have some imported tables from these other databases.
