Access freezes or hangs attempting to open linked ODBC tables

Linking Visual Foxpro and SQL tables. Sporadically, when attempting to open
and view the data, ACCESS 2003 freezes or hangs requiring Ctrl-Alt-Delete to
close the program. Used ACCESS 97 previously with DOS generated FOXPRO data
without any issues. Tried on several different machines, XP Pro, Vista
Business, 2003 Server all have same issue.

Tried creating new DB, moving queries and reports. Tried rebuilding and
compacting. Running queries is hit and miss. Works one time, hangs the next.
Same query, same instructions.

Any ideas?

No on wireless. Using latest drivers from Microsoft. Antivirus scans on this
computer only, not through the network.
