Access freezes when I try to open OLE object

All of a sudden when I try to open and image file in Access 2003, the program
freezes and nothing happens until I use Task Manager to stop the program. The
images came up fine a few months ago. Maybe some new software is causing
this? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
