Access "hangs" my system

Apologies if this not the right group for this problem, but I don't know
where else to post.

Access97 keeps "Hanging up" my system mostly when I am in form design mode.
I have
a Pentium III with 128mb ram & am running Win98 2nd edition vsn 4.10 & show
68% "resources free". In memory I usually have Black Ice, & Norton Anti
virus. I have booted up without Norton & Black Ice but still get the
problem. The only way to recover is to actually unplug and then re-plug my
system to re-boot.

Does anyone have any ideas .. I don't think it is a virus as I believe I
have that covered with Norton and Black Ice ... some help on this would be
much appreciated.

Do you have a default printer installed. Sometimes it
causes a problem if you do not. Another reason, your
printer driver could be causing the problem because it
might be corrupt or have incompatibilty issues.
I experienced this problem before with report authoring
tools.

Many thanks for your reply .. I recently re-installed my printer, so I
don't think that's my problem.<sigh>
