Access help for the computer illiterate

A preemptive thanks to anyone who can help!

I maintain the database for a non-profit, and suddenly, I've got two major
problems:

1) I receive this message when I try to search the database by clicking on
the binoculars in the open window : "The expression On Click you entered as
the event property setting produced the following error: Object or Class does
not support the set of events. * The expression may not result in the name of
a macro, the name of a user-defined function or [event procedures].

2)My second problem occurs when I try to pull up the gift history of our
donors. It's usually reached by an icon in the same open window as the above
(used for entering addresses, names, etc.) but when I try to open it, I get
the same message as above.

Any help would be enormously welcome.

Goose,

Go to the Visual Basic Editor screen, and select 'References' from the
Tools menu.

Are any of the items in the list shown as [MISSING]?

If not, can you post back with the details of the VBA procedure or macro
that you have running on the Click event of the buttons that are
returning the error?
