Access not responding when opening table...

Same problem. Office 2007 Ultimate/Vista x64/AMD Dual Core

Apps open fine in 2003 on an XP box. Clearly there is something awry in
the 64-bit OS/Access 2007 combination. I've been building commercial
quality Access and VB apps for 15 years. This one is not going to be
addressed with the catch-all "uninstall/re-install, make sure your
service packs are up to date, blah, blah, blah".

Been reported enough for MS to get someone busy chasing it.

I just discovered the same problem with my Access 2007 database today,
although i am running Vista 32 . all SP's are up to date. FTI, i get my "not
responding" when i try to change the data source on a very simple report.

Any news on a fix yet?

I am having this problem as well with Access 2007 on a brand new Windows
2007, 32 bit machine. I can open the database file, import records into the
table, but when I want to open the table, Access hangs if there are more than
40 records - all that will display on my screen without scrolling. I can
open in Design view, but when I try to move or click on anything it hangs.
If I have less than 40 records, it opens fine and functions well. This
happens with old and newly created files, imported data and hand-entered
data, MDB or ACCDB files, it doesn't matter at all. The only thing that
matters is the number of records in the table. This pretty much renders
Access useless. I too have repaired, uninstalled, reinstalled, each time
rebooting and trying all updates, nothing has helped. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

I'm having a similar problem. We have about 200 commecial app's written in
access2000 (2007). When running in 64bit OS, access hangs from time to time.
It takes about a minute before the 'frozen screen' turns normal again. The
strange problem is that it occurs only 5% of my sql statements.

Anyone?
