There can be a host of reasons. If Access security is turned on, you need to
go in through your group id and not by clicking on the database itself. The
message posted for this violation has changed over time. There is usually a
shortcut available that was created when the database was secured.
You may also be seeing the results of an autoexec. If it is examining your
id, etc. when attempting to open the database, be sure that you haven't
changed anything, including the computer and system name of your machine.
You can also try holding down the shift key when you attempt to enter the
database. If that functionality has not been specifically disabled, it is a
way around the autoexec.
