Access Pivot Chart with an absent Table Drop Area

I have no Table Drop Area within the Pivot Chart Veiw?

HELP stated a need to access a switch within Pivot Chart
Properties; however, the Properties Tool Button is
subdued and inaccessable.

I have re-installed the program twice, to no avail.
