I have a set of three access databases that run with a
front-end back-end method and all link at least one table
to the other databases. I am only having this problem with
one database.
We started all databases in Access 97 and have converted
through the years. We are now using access 2002. When I
open the database and try to run any form or report the
database reports "record deleted" and will not open the
form or report. I have updated the jet engine to 4.0 sp8
and converted into 2002. This fixed the problem for about
a month and now it is back. I can not reproduce this fix
because it was the conversion to 2002 that worked and the
database is now converted to 2002. I have tried to restore
the database from back-ups, but they all show the same
problem even if they were working on the day that they were
backed-up. I have tried to import into a new database and
this did not work either.
All of the forms and reports work if I link them directly
to the tables, it is the queries that are causing the
problem. I have tried to compact and repair, but this is
not working either. I do not get the dialog box that
microsoft claims will appear.
This database is very large with 20 tables and 100's of
queires, forms, and reports. So rebuilding it from scratch
would be a problem for me at this point.
