Access Report converted to Excel truncates data....IMPORTANT!

I have table qith a field of 255 characters.
Ms-Access report shows all the entered characters. However when report is
seen as an Excel, the data is truncating to 127 characters only.
Is it a problem with MS office or some setting needs to be done.
