Access rights in PWA 2007 (Sharepoint)

Danila Morogin

Hello!
The company has:
- Windows Domain (Active Directory)
- Project Server 2007
- PWA

I'm a project manager and my role is to customize PWA to bussines needs.
Unfortunately only IT administrators have all the access rights to PWA. I'm
asking our IT administrators to give me full access to PWA but I get request
denied. Main reason - full access to PWA gives me full access to domain. Is
that true?
Question: is there a way to give full access to PWA for my account without
giving full access to domain?
The main idea is to let me do anything I want with the PWA without much risk
to domain, AD or other IT-infrastructure.

Thanks in advance.
P.S. If that is a question to Sharepoint coomunity please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Danila,
It's a question for the SharePoint community but I'll answer it anyway. You
can delegate access between the Farm, the SSP and the Project Server. You
need rights at the SSP level. Ask your IT folks to add you as a user with
Full Control within the site settings of the SSP, that hosts your project
server, within WSS central admin.

Ben,

I'm trying to do that, but I'm a little bit lost. Could you detail a little
bit more the process to do that?
Thanks in advance!

Robert
