Hi Group,
We have an application (mde) that we are distributing using access 2000
runtime.
Initially we installed SR1a and created the installation kit and everything
was working fine,
even for users who already had access 2000 installed on their computer.
Then, some clients started to install SP2 and SP3 for Office 2000 (it's
normal, right?)
So we upgraded to SP3 too - on a new computer we installed win2k + sp4 then
office 2K + SP3.
Now, when we create the installation kit, it asks for the office2000 cd, to
copy the runtime files from there.
It also mentions that this is a one time operation, after this it will be
able to get the runtime files from the harddisk.
Question:
1. If I provide the office 2000 cd, how will this include the sp3 update
(which is already installed on the computer) in the runtime files created in
the installation kit ??
2. And also a weird behaviour : we were testing the installation from the
new installation kit. And surprise - it asks for the serial number of office
2000...
Does anybody have any suggestions ?
Environment :
Using Windows 2000, Office 2000 with SR1a , Office 2000 with SP3.
Thank you !
Andrei.
