Access Security Book - Reviewers Wanted

G

Garry Robinson

Over the last year I have been working on a book to address many of the issues Access developers and DBA's seem to have with Access security and related issues. The book is called

“Real World Microsoft Access Database Protection and Securityâ€

and it will be published by Apress by early November, 2003. The book and the many samples that come with it have been written for Access 97, 2000, 2002 and 2003. If you want to read more, head to the following page where you will find out the intended audience of the book; read the table of contents and Peter Vogel’s foreword (editor Smart Access magazine); where you will find out why the book will help you improve both your database skills and the security of the most important database in the world, yours.

REVIEWERS WANTED

The purpose of this post is to ask for volunteers to review the book as soon as it hits the bookstands. If you wish to be a volunteer, you will need to be in a position where you can publish your review on a popular web site or in a magazine.

If you think that you might be able to do this, the Apress marketing team will forward a complimentary copy of the book to you as soon as it is published. All you have to do is fill in a form with information about where you will publish the information. So far reviewers like Mike Gunderloy and Danny Lesandrini are lined up for reviews for http://www.mcpmag.com/mcsdcentral/ and http://www.databasejournal.com/

Apart from people with publishing connections, we are also looking for a number of people to review the book for popular online book stores such as Amazon International web sites (we have enough for the USA web site), Barnes & Noble and we are also interested in teachers of Access courses and people who coordinate Access users groups. If you feel like you fit the bill, head to the following location and look for the reviewers section near the bottom of the page.
