Access Shuts Down when connected to MS SQL

I have SQL server 2000 running on my laptop. I connect to it using Access
2003 sp1. The database is 3+ gigs in size with many table. While using it
Access will just shut down. I can't discern any particular pattern.
Sometimes I can go for some time before the shut down other times it happens
fairly regularly.

Any Ideas out there?
