Is there a template I can use to scan ID cards to know if a student belongs
in a certain lunch. There are three different lunches and I would like to
scan the ID and have it show which lunch the student belongs in on the
monitor.

Are you scanning a magnetic strip or barcode or what? You could have a table
set up with a student ID paired with a lunch time.

Can you set up the barcode scanner in place of keyboard input?

You really need to divide your projects into smaller parts and ask questions
regarding a single part at a time. Asking how to accomplish an entire
project in a single question might end up in someone offering you "billed"
services.

Me

I have a table that contains 1400 students ID numbers, Last name,
First Name, Grade and Lunch. I want to pull up the students Last name,
First name and Lunch by scanning in the students ID number from the ID
card with a Barcode scanner which I have working and recognizing the
ID numbers from the ID Cards
