Hi all,
I have a client who is using Access in her office on a
Win2000 Server. There is one Master database file that
everyone shares and all runs well.
One of the employees is now working from home, so I set
her up with VPN to access the same DB file, however, it
turns out that the speed/response time is horrendous. I
guess doing this over VPN (she has DSL speeds) is not a
good idea.
Is this true? Is Access really sending that much data back
and forth over the lines?
If so, what else can I do?
I thought of setting up a terminal server account for her
and she can connect to the server and run Access on the
server. (Can I load Access on a Win2000 Server?)
But is this my only alternative or is there a (wide area)
networking option to this?
thanks
