assuming you need to know one thing in order to learn the next step.

That is a harder question that it appears. It depends on what your database
and programming experience is. I have yet to find a good step by step "how
to" book yet. I have not seen their Access book, but I did get a very basic
how to for Excel Programming published by Wiley Publishing that I found
useful for beginning. I believe they also have a Book on Access.

I would suggest you check your local community college schedule and see if
any of them have any courses that may be useful. If they don't have a course

Get a good Access book and follow the chapters in order and you should be
right.

Generally, authors will try to introduce concepts / explanations as you need
them and later chapters will build on as well as re-inforce the knowledge
learnt from previous chapters.
