Access & Vista

We recently upgraded to Vista and queries that used to run without a hitch
are throwing an error message. The error is Not enough space on temporary
disk. The error only presents itself when running an action query (append or
make table), I can run the select query and access returns the correct
records. The database is less than one half of a gig so I'm sure the size of
the database isn't the issue. What can I do to get around this issue?

Thanks for your help,
Bethany

Action queries have a property called 'Use Transaction'. I don't know if this
will fix it, but set it to 'No'. This supposedly doesn't create a rollback
table, which, in theory, should save some memory. I always thought it would
also improve performance, but it never did, which tells me changing the
property doesn't have any affect. But, try it anyway, and report back the
results.

I tried changing the query properties and still get the same error message.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Bethany

Bing for Access MaxLocksPerFile and MaxBufferSize. I think there's a
registry setting you can adjust that may help.
