I'm trying to learn VBA with Access 2000. Is this the correct newsgroup to
ask questions?

It'll do, although you might find microsoft.public.access.formscoding,
microsoft.public.access.modulesdaovba or
microsoft.public.access.modulesdaovba.ado to be a little more focussed on
using VBA.
