"Access wont open file due to potential security problems"

this file is located on another computer in the network. it used to open
using a shortcut. now even if i go directly to the file through "my network
places" and try to open it it will promt for the password and attemt to open
the file but returns a message of "Access wont open file due to potential
security problems"


please help
