Access XP backwards compatability

I just found out this morning, that our IS dept will be upgrading me from A2K
to XP. My problem is I will still have users that will still be on A2K. I
know you can keep A2K formatting, however, I've been informed that you can
not create MDE files unless you your MDB file is in XP format.

Is this a true statement, and if it is, any work arounds other than keeping
2 versions?

Rosco,
If you are developing application and are going to need to create MDE's in
both versions, then you will need a copy of both versions on your
development machine. Is your company going to be moving everyone to XP?

Thanks Lynn, that's what I was afraid of. Eventually everyone will be
converted, but I don't know the schedule.

I appreciate the quick response. I've got to talk to some people before the
upgrade goes through.
