Access XP crashes when opening module or Visual Basic editor

All of a sudden I cannot use the VB editor. Any attempt to open a module or
the editor just shuts down Access (XP version)

There is no error message, it just looks like it briefly opens the editor
(happens too fast to really see ) and then closes.

I have both repaired & reinstalled Office but I did not uninstall first. Any
ideas?

Does this happen in all MDBs, or only one? Can you open modules in the
sample MDB, Northwind?

If the problem is with only one MDB, you may be able to resolve it by
creating a new, empty MDB and importing everything from the problem MDB.

The spammers and script-kiddies have succeeded in making it impossible for
me to use a real e-mail address in public newsgroups. E-mail replies to

from brenreyn at indigo dot ie that is not digitally signed by me with a
GlobalSign digital certificate is a forgery and should be deleted without
being read. Follow-up questions should in general be posted to the
newsgroup, but if you have a good reason to send me e-mail, you'll find
a useable e-mail address at the URL above.

No, it happens in every mdb or adp, even tried creating a new empty one.

I have just started to experience the same issue. It also happens in Xl -
any time I try to open the VB Editor. I tried reinstallation to no avail -
same as you.

Were you able to get a solution to this?
