Access2002 crashes when trying to create DAP

I have a somewhat large database that has been replicated several times.
When I attempt to create a data access page, Access shuts down with error
statements.

Am I missing something simple?

At times like this, nothing beats a good backup. In fact make a complete
backup of your database now and put it away for safe keeping.

The database has operated fine for a couple years. I would like to expand
the database for users that are not running Access. We are only interested
in using a data access page for data entry. No matter how simple of a page I
attempt to make, the db shuts down.

I appreciate the resources but they do not appear to provide any information
that helps troubleshoot the problem with the crashes.

Is there a problem with creating a DAP with a database that has backend
tables?

I backed up the database as a matter of common sense. I copied different
portions of the database to isolated drives and have been testing with those
copies. I see this as only a common sense move to protect live data from
getting corrupted.

I can create a DAP on a backend that only has tables.
I have not be able to create a DAP on a d'base frontend without it crashing.
I would like to create a DAP for entries through queries on a frontend.

The database works perfectly fine while using forms inside Access. I just
want to be able to expand to non-Access users.
