Access2003 is slower.

I upgraded from Access2000 to Access2003 but
this is slower.

How can I rollback to Access2000

Please help, Frank

Don't give up yet!

How much memory do you have on the PC? If less that 512 mb, bring it up to
at least that level. If nothing else, it will also make A2K and many other
things run faster to.

Go to Tools, Options, General, and uncheck Name AutoCorrect. I bet it's
faster now. While there also uncheck Compact on Close. Trust me.

The three most common performance problems in Access 2000 or newer
are:
- LDB locking which a persistent recordset connection or an always
open bound form corrects (multiple users)
- sub datasheet Name property set to [Auto] should be [None]
- Track name AutoCorrect should be off

If the problem is for everyone when starting up the MDB then it likely
needs a decompile.
